Out of the Box
Somehow it seemed fitting that the box that Amanda Palmer Munny came packed in burst at the seams upon her arrival. She hopped up and dashed across the studio naked as a tiny plastic jaybird. After a short while she was located by my eagle eyed feline companion. We dusted her off and got to work. -
Sketched Up
Here she is with the initial design in place. For those who are into making custom Munny's and curious what I use to sketch - 3B pencil. Soft pencils work best. -
Aw!
Neil Gaiman Munny wanders over to inspect the progress and give his thoughts. -
Sculpted
Here we have Amanda Palmer Munny after the sculpty bits have been applied. Again Munny art tips - I use Magic Sculpt a two part epoxy resin clay. It stinks but if you were the type to sniff markers you might like it. The best part is you can smooth it with water. Funnest part to sculpt was the hair. Worst was the bullets for the belt. Those were a bitch. -
Put Yo Face On!
These next few photos show the process of painting the face. Slow build up of acrylic layers. I also used pastel sticks for eyeshadow and cheeks. -

Eyebrows!!!
Oh yeah these were fun to paint. ;) -
Purty
All dolled up and ready for her man. (Get it? Dolled up? Right? Right?) -
Costume
Her costume is a mish mosh of many things I have seen her wear in a variety of photos. That took a little research I don't mind telling you. Thank the gods for Flickr. -
