« Dr. Jekyll Update - one down... »

Well my portrait of Dr. Jekyll is for all intents and purposes complete. So all that is left to complete this diptych is my Mr. Hyde portrait and some custom design work that will be part of the matting for these images. I'll continue to share the process as it moves along.

Incidentally...

I do realize that this is taking a long time and I am sorry for the suspense. However you just cannot rush these things. The fact is that my main focus must be the work for my upcoming exhibit and to be frank as much as I might try to force this square peg into a round hole - the Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde diptych does NOT fit the theme of my gallery show.

Yet I will finish him anyway - because I must. I hope to offer this piece as a rather nifty limited edition. I'm still sussing out how that might be done - affordably. I will keep you all advised.

Without further ado here are images. He was a real bugger to get a good shot of. Shiny oil paint abhors a scanner and is tricksy to photograph.

OMG!!!! THOSE EYES!!!!! I've 'Hyde-ing' (*grins*) under my blankets again. He's a beautiful promise of menace. As they said of Lord Byron, "Mad, bad, & dangerous to know."

I'd like to see you do more male subjects, Brigid. Your website is full of beautiful women.
How about a bit of maybe even 'steampunk' male eyecandy for us menopausal gals sometime in the future?
